The Taft Home has been proudly serving Portland area senior and disabled adults since 1960! The Taft Home, a historic Portland Oregon landmark, originally built as a hotel in the early 1900's, continues to keep its doors open to individuals with special needs, placing particular emphasis on underserved populations such as low-income seniors and disabled adults and those with behavior and mental health needs.
The Taft Home is a reality for vulnerable older and disabled adults thanks in part to local collaborative efforts on behalf of REACH Community Development, Inc., Multnomah County Aging Services Division, State of Oregon Seniors and People with Disabilities, Northwest Pilot Project, and Portland's Bureau of Housing and Community Development.

We invite you to stop in anytime for a tour or to participate in one of our many community events and classes. We are conveniently located at 1337 SW Washington Street in downtown Portland just off Burnside. Join us and experience our compassion and commitment for yourself, you'll be glad you did!
